What else do I need to do?

Ok so : I need your help . Have i missed something? What else do I need to do to complete my application?

Have done :
1)I have chossen the colleges i wish to apply
2)I have completed all the tests they are asking (TOEFL, SAT, SAT II etc)
3)I have written the essay and the extraccuricullar paragraph
4)I have filled most of my common app
5)I asked one of my teachers for a letter of rec.
Will do :
1)I'm going to ask the teacher responsible for my classroom to act as my councellor , writting me a letter of rec.
2)I'll make an awesome arts supplement

So...I know that colleges also require my transcript..so here's a question: Should i tell my "counsellor" to translate the transcripts himself , or do I need a proffessional translation. Then do I just give him the addresses of the colleges I'm applying to send the translated transcripts by mail?

Also, I'll be applying as a full pay student. Do i need to gather any extra material to prove i can pay for college? I've read something about that, but I didn't understand it. Do i need to prove it when I apply, or when i get accepted?

anyone???

Since this is not part of the job description of your teacher, you should do most of the legwork yourself. I’d suggest that

you prepare the transcripts yourself. That means getting it translated (you can do this yourself), making photocopies and getting each copy certified by your school. If you are applying online, the transcripts can be submitted online as well. In that case, you would create a single translated transcript and then produce a pdf that your teacher can submit.

that you supply stamped and addressed envelopes, if you want to submit transcripts via mail.

Also check if you need another letter of recommendation. When I applied to colleges, I needed three letters: two from teachers and one from my “counselor.”

You’ll have to provide documentation of your financial resources at some point. The form you use is called “Certification of Finances.” Some colleges ask for it with the initial application, others don’t want it until after you are accepted and decide to enroll.

Colleges usually provide instructions on their website. If you are unsure about the requirements of a particular school, it won’t hurt to call and ask.

So you’re saying that i can translate it by myself, then certify it by my school (a stamb or something) and then give it to my counselor to send it online?

^ Yes. Don’t forget to supply your counselor with an electronic file of your transcript rather than just a paper copy.
