What else should I do to get into a top college?

<p>I meant to post this in the Admissions forum the first time...so sorry for the double post. :) Thanks for your advice!</p>

<p>White female, Yale legacy. What else should I do to get into top colleges? How do my chances look? (Rising senior)</p>

<p>GPA: 4.0 UW
SATs: 700 M, 780 CR, 800 WR (2280)
SAT II: Spanish 780 (plan to take 2 more in fall, prob. English and US History)</p>

<p>Sophomore schedule:
AP English (5)
AP Spanish (5)
AP US History (4)
Honors Chemistry
Honors Algebra II
Newspaper</p>

<p>Junior Schedule:

Varsity soccer 9-12 (top team in district for 12 years)
Club soccer top-level since age 9; team captain since freshman year
Newspaper editor 11-12
Volunteer coach of mid-level Spanish-speaking girls' team (we recently moved up to the top level in the club)
Volunteer with literacy program for Spanish-speaking preschoolers
Internship at newspaper 10th, accepted as intern at top independent publishing house this summer
National Honors Society Community Service
Founder of citywide high school literary magazine
Volunteer for a program that gets teenage mothers involved in poetry/spoken word readings</p>

<p>Awards and Recognition
National Merit
Youth journalism award for article, paper I edit
Scholastic Art and Writing Gold Award Short Story
Applying for Davidson Fellowship (maybe a slim chance, I think?)</p>

<p>Other things...I go to a public city high school, limited APs. Focusing on Spanish (I'm now able to pass the fluency test after just 5 years of study), literature (have written several novels, won awards)</p>

<p>Um, stay in school and apply.</p>

<p>You're set, but a job during summers etc. might do you good. They DO ask about that.</p>

<p>I didn't turn sixteen until this September, so this summer will be the first opportunity I'll have to do an actual job. I'm thinking of working at a book store?</p>

<p>You have a great shot at any school, and doing everything you have done by now is a great accomplishment in itself. So good luck :)</p>
