and for scholarships u need to go to the official website of the college u want to go to but u cant apply w/o ur marks unless if its need based

Lol why are people giving out so much misinformation? At the time of applying you HAVE TO send your school grades, and SAT scores. And school grades matter a 10000000 times more than SATs. Other stuff u need to send are a list of your extra-curricular activities, etc.

sirfkartik, I noticed that you said you had virtually no extra-curricular activities after 9th grade. You should probably apply to Canadian Universities in that case. As far as I have seen, they don’t give a lot of weightage to ECs.

I had the same problem, plus, I didn’t make the decision to apply to colleges abroad till it was too late. So I only applied to McGill University; I sent them my SAT scores, and my high school transcripts. And unless you’re applying for a Major Scholarship, you don’t have to send them letters of recommendation or essays either. The whole process was pretty quick. And I just got accepted a few days ago!

March 15th was the deadline, but if you’re in 11th then you still have a whole year left. I hope that was helpful.

aniruddhc: thats wat i said since hes now given sat he cant apply without sat marks…and yea, the school grades ur talkin of-he wil get those after about 13 months from 2day so if hez applyin he wil at least need sat score - haha thatr exactly wat u said as well lol

*since hes not given sat

@crystal93 : Thanks for the advice, any idea which Canadian Uni is good for English Majors, along mith East Asian languages?

And yes, you HAVE to send your high school scores, but if you don’t have your final report, you don’t have to send it, until and unless you are accepted. I confirmed it from a Yale student, through e-mail.

Sorry, no clue, I’ll be doing engineering. Interesting choices though.

I know ![]()
On the web-sites of some colleges/Universities, they say they offer international students need-based financial aid. How do I find out the exact details of the financial aid?

^ Why did you post then ?

Post what? :?

Was that meant for me, compscifan?

If so, you’ll know why I did, if you read my first post. I never claimed to know anything about English lit. in Canadian Universities. I just wanted to point out that ECs aren’t as important there. There’s nothing wrong with that. Wait, is there? I’m new, help me out here!

Does anybody know any details about taking the AP test in India? I can;t find any :(

Found 'em, thanks. If you can tell me anything about the tests, please do.
