What else should I do?

<p>I am headed to visit UA Friday. We are going to do the official tour and some specific departmental tours. What else would you recommend doing while in town? Thanks in advance!</p>

<p>How long will you be in Ttown?</p>

<p>One of the below is a hotel list.

<p>[Things</a> To Do](<a href=“http://visittuscaloosa.com/things-to-do/]Things”>A WINTER WONDERLAND - Visit Tuscaloosa)</p>

<p>When I visited UA for the first time, I went to a restaurant called “Wings University.” The service was impeccable, the food delectable, and I was even offered a job by our waitress after a long conversation. I highly recommend eating there!</p>

<p>visit:</p>

<p>Paul Bear Bryant Museum…start with the video</p>

<p>The RiverWalk…and eat breakfast at Another Broken Egg</p>

<p>The Strip…to see the off-campus hangouts</p>

<p>Downtown…to see how it’s being refurb’d and new restaurants, etc.</p>

<p>Midtown Village…for shopping, eating, people watching…</p>

<p>FYI, Wings U has changed names. Didn’t know that and planned to meet some friends there during BB. OOPS! It is now something like Bob’s… Still the same menu.</p>

<p>@mom2ck, just for the day. I am a rising junior and have chosen UA as my first college visit due in no small part to your, and others like you, activity on CC. I hope to have a longer visit in the not too distant future.</p>

<p>Welcome, boog! I am not sure you will want to visit anywhere else once you set foot on campus. We did a mini-tour of SEC schools, and I knew when the boy wore his Bama hat on the Kentucky tour it was all over… :)</p>

<p>Very impressive! Gorgeous campus, great dorms, very helpful guides. I look forward to a repeat visit next year.</p>

<p>Glad that you liked it, and welcome…
Roll Tide!</p>

<p>Great news! Glad you liked it!</p>

Just an update. I will be attending UA. NMF, thank you UA for your generosity. Trying to decide between Outdoor Action and Camp 1831, maybe both. And a huge shout out to Ms. Batson, looking forward to getting to know everyone!!

ROLL TIDE

^ You obviously started your college search early, boogapotamus! Thanks for the update!

Great news, boogapotamus! Welcome to a wonderful school! ROLL TIDE

Welcome to UA! Agreed that Mrs. Batson is the best. I did OA, so I’m a bit biased, but it’s a fantastic way to meet people and learn about the Tuscaloosa outdoors. Although I know people who did both, and they thought both were great in different ways. Pretty much you can’t go wrong.

Welcome! You might want to do both! You’ll meet different people at each!

If you can only do one, then do OA or AA.

There is a very good Italian restaurant downtown.

I agree that OA or AA might be a better choice than 1831. Congrats and Roll Tide!
