Hi, I’m looking for that little “extra” thing that everyone else is to get into schools. I know essays are important, but admittedly, I’m not very creative. Post essay topics that you feel really gave you the edge in admissions to help stir the rest of us uncreative people!

<p>I wrote about ordering sandwiches. I love sandwiches. And for the other essay, I wrote about putting on pants.</p>

<p>I wrote essays about Rev. William Booth (founder of Salvation Army), goal-setting, and a business I started.</p>
<p>Here here is a topic for u to tihnkg about..GET YOUR OWN IDEAS TO WRITE ABOUT. you think people will actually tell you their hook so you can put it on ur esay so it will look good. i dunt tihnk so. Do some thing u lik,e show passion, write it down in ur essay. and done</p>
<p>I doubt any essay written about someone else's hook would be very convincing anyway. I'm sure s/he's asking for brainstorming purposes. And if not, SHAME ON YOU!</p>

<p>I wrote 2 long essays (as opposed to the short ones required on many apps) - one about my future goals/aspirations as a medical doctor/researcher, the second, a supplementary one about what I've learned in my volunteer work at a nursing home and how that has helped me to redefine my goals</p>

<p>I wrote a poem about my surfboard and surfing when it was clearly a metaphor for sex with a woman. hehe, Santa Clara and USD liked it but Georgetown did not.</p>
<p>No, I'm sorry if it seemed like I wanted your ideas for my essay. I just thought it would be interesting to see the range of essay topics. Obviously I can't write about someone else's passion or write inthe quirky style of others. Like an essay about a plum? I'm sure it worked out great, but I would NEVER be able to pull that off.</p>
<p>i wrote about my experiences in my high school band, and the leadership i have had in it, and then my other shorter essay was about a lab internship i got and how it made me want to be a science major</p>
