What exactly are midyear grades?

<p>Or do they just see some kind of average??</p>

<p>Usually transcripts don’t show quarter grades.</p>

<p>Usually they show either semester grades or year-end grades.</p>

<p>A mid-year report would be a transcript with your 1st semester’s grades on it.</p>

<p>Our counselor says there’s also a spot on the mid year form for her to indicate if the student has had any issues . . .</p>

<p>Basically the mid year report is a place for the counselor to update the college on the first semester of your senior year. Semester grades are on there, but I believe the counselors can also add other info that wasn’t included in your original app, like a recent suspension or perhaps a recent significant award you received.</p>
