What exactly can you do with ORIE major? What do they teach you? (Operations research)

I searched the internet and Cornell’s website but I couldn’t find detailed information about what exactly they teach in ORIE, and what kind of career it leads to. I intend to double major in Computer Science and ORIE. Does this kind of education lead to a the financial industry (as in Investment Banks, Hedge funds) or is it more of a tech field? Is it like a financial engineering major?
Also, does anyone here know how rigorous Operations Research and Information Engineering is at Cornell.
I would greatly appreciate any info, thanks in advance.
