What exactly is a mini course???

So this is the situation that i'm in...

I don't have any AP Calc credit, but I did okay on the calc placement exam. So my advisor said I'm placed in 21-120, but I can take 21-121 if I want to.. if I take 21-121, i'll be taking 21-123 in the spring which is a mini course.. what exactly is a mini course???

should i take 21-120 and 21-122 or 21-121 and 21-123 (mini course)??? i got 25/40 on the placement exam and B as my final grade in calc ab class.

and is there a big difference in difficulty or the amount of work that you do in 21-120 and 21-121??

thanks.

A mini-course lasts for half of one semester.

If you're worried, 21-123 will give you the option of retaking it later in the semester if you fail (shouldn't be a problem, but you never know). I'd recommend 120 just because that's where a lot of people start, you don't really save much with taking the mini second semester, and you may get a nice GPA boost.

Hey, when did your advisor tell you about your calc placement? Did they email you or did you email them??

i e-mailed her..
