What exactly is COE?

Dear Brown students,

I am a freshman and I am interested in transferring to Brown, among other schools. I am deciding whether I should apply economics or COE as my intended major. Can you please explain to me what COE actually is, how competitive it is, and how is it different from economics? What exactly do I learn in COE? My future goal is working in a bank, can COE help me? Thank you.

COE is aimed at students interested in entrepreneurship and is a really unique (and well-funded) interdisciplinary program that will give you access to important people in business and cool international internships

any major at brown will get you to a bank. goldman sachs is the number one employer of brown undergrads

Uh, are there any more detailed descriptions about COE program and how it compares with econ program at Brown? Thanks.
I will need to explain which major I choose and why. I am still deciding if I should choose COE or econ.
