What exactly is EOP?

<p>I'm referring to that of the UC system. I'm just really confused because when I google it up all I receive is generic info about what it's for and who can apply but I don't understand whether it's something i should apply for. </p>

<p>Please don't just copy and paste the descriptions from the UC websites because I didn't think those were very helpful :| I'm looking for a straight answer. </p>

<p>EOP means “equal opportunity employer” which mean that the school doesn’t discriminate against workers/prospective workers based on their sex, color, age, religion, etc.</p>

<p>I was referring to the Educational Opportunity Program…</p>

<p>Its basically a support system for low-income, minority, and/or first-generation college students. EOP provides places to study and tutoring. They also might assist with small fees like book and so forth.
If you qualify, I would say go for it.</p>
