I've been looking it up on the website and I dont seem to know what it REALLY is. I'm asking this because I want to major in History / International Relations. I was reading the ILR description and it seemed to fit well with International Relations. But History is in the Arts and Science college. Which one should I apply to? And would it be possible to take classes in both colleges?

in the ILR school one is free to take 40credits of electives anywhere...

I am in ILR and doing a concentration (minor) in International Relations...

Asian male! Apply to ILR, you'll double our population. ;)

ILR is a huge combination of a lot of things: on the website some of the things it mentions are statistics, economics, history, etc. I've been told that it is a very versatile degree and is basically a feeder into top law programs and has great placement in Wall Street. (Goldman Sachs conducted private interviews for ONLY ILR students)

Just use the search button up top, there really is a wealth of info on this forum. It persuaded me to ED to Cornell ILR this yr =)

Asian Male, Cornell ILR ED '12 :D

It eseems like you can you use electives to mold the ILR major in whatever direction you want.

are there very few asians in ILR??

there are fewer mexicans XD

diehldun: Yep. http://dpb.cornell.edu/documents/1000177.pdf
And one of my asian friends is transferring out of ILR, so you can take off another one in the first-time freshman category for ILR asian americans.

ILR is predominantly white as you can see.
