How does the MRC work with the admissions committee?

Are they advocates for URMS, 1st generation, and low-income applicants?

I found out that the admissions officer for my region is Rebeca G

Ms. Palacio, I THINK, is given all the URM applications, so your region Admissions Officer& she will look at your application (well in your case she will be the only one looking at it)
Having those above qualities is a hook, but it won’t help you if your stats aren’t around the average admitted student (although Barnard looks at your essays more, they dont only want to admit smart women but also ones who love the institution and will contribute to their wonderful community- to me they use a more ideal admission selection process than other colleges!)

P.S. I’m also a 1st gen, Hispanic from a low income family & I’m only a HS senior so take my response with a grain of salt. (is that the expression? lol)

I think she is in charge of the southern region and multicultural things.

right. that’s what I’m sayin

I’m just wondering if that changes how my application is viewed.
