What exactly will I submit?

So there's a universal common app that every college asks for, or do they ask for their own unique ones? For the essays, do the topics come from this common app or from the college website? Do I have to basically go to the website of each college I want to apply for and see if they want ask for the common app or their own unique one? I'll have a lot of time to work on it all this week and I'll get it done but just want to make sure what I have to do.

I would go to each school's website and then register at CommonApp.org and add each of the schools that use the CA...for the ones that don't, and the ones that have additional supplements, I usually save their essay questions on Microsoft Word so I don't forget about them.

Thanks. 2 of the places I'm looking at use the common app and the main ones I'm looking at are separate, so I have my work cut out for me now. Do you also have to turn in a resume(not universal, one that you make yourself) with most applications?

Submitting a resume is entirely optional. Some colleges also will not accept supplemental materials of any kind, so be sure to ask each college directly before sending anything extra.

The deadline is around November and I think my high school wants the application a little earlier, but honestly am I pretty late? I'd like to know so that I can work more over the next week and get it all done or take my time with it. I'll definitely go over with it with my guidance counselor when school starts.
