For accepted will it start with "Congratulations!"

What will it start with for a Denial? Or a Deferral?

I'm so nervous I am only going to be able to look at the first couple of words!

What will it start with for a Denial? Or a Deferral?

I'm so nervous I am only going to be able to look at the first couple of words!

Just calm down. You’ll know what you got. You did all you can at this point. Just take a breath, look over the whole thing, you’ll be fine. Plus, the acceptance letter last year was on sweet paper with an embossed seal.

P.S. It should start with something saying congratulations. There will also be information about housing. You’ll know right away. Good luck

Both Acceptance/Non-acceptance will probably start of with “We would like to thank you for your effort in applying to Penn.” It’s how the second sentence goes. It will probably be either “We wish to congratulate you on your acceptance” or “Although you are an excellent applicant, we believe U of P is not the right place for you” lol.

Accepted will start with “Congratulations!” to let you know right away that you made it. For rejections they try to not to hit you with it too harshly, so it will say something like, “We regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you admission…”

rejection usually comes in bear form

^oh yeah i heard that too
hahahahaha

Haha I haven’t really thought of this… interesting. I’m sure it will be a couple of sentences

penn acceptance starts with “Congratulations!”

good luck on decision day guys.

When I saw the title of this thread, I was like “***?” Penn sends you a text message to let you know if you’ve been accepted or not?

^well then that would suck for me, lol, don’t got texting

or even worse… if it goes off in class… and the teacher takes it away… and they read the text… and it’s a denial…

shudder

haha, well I bet the teacher would feel bad enough not to get mad at you!.. or maybe not. I think if my calc teacher heard my phone got off and saw a rejection text, she’d just announce the text to the class or something, and of course she’d do so with a smile. :)

I’m sure that as a Penn applicant, you will be able to understand the text. If you cannot comprehend the message, you probably don’t deserve to go to Penn. But seriously, calm down, you’ve done all you can. Just chill till Friday then stare at a clock all day like I plan on doing.

I think everyone knows that they’ll be able to interpret the text, ha. I think that everyone is just so anxious and we’ll want to know our decision IMMEDIATELY when we open the letter… so we will be looking for clues in the first few words/sentences.

oh man… i really hope I’m not rejected… I’ll be so upset!

Accepted = Congratulations!

In my experience.

Yeah… I feel like that’s pretty likely… but it’ll be harder to spot the difference between rejection and deferral without reading closely…

rejection : “We had an exceptionally well qualified pool of applicants this year… blah…blah… we hope you will continue to pursue your endeveors elsewhere”-- my history teacher.
