<p>I am majoring in art history and I am pre med. Do I do only art history extracurriculars, a bit of both, or do I focus on medical extracurriculars?</p>

<p>As much as you can of both. On one hand, med schools want to see that you know what you’re getting yourself into. However, you’ll probably want to do some art-related EC’s as well, just because I assume if you’re an art history major, you love art.</p>
<p>Do what you enjoy and be good at it (ie leader). Adcoms do NOT like kids who pad their CV. Hopefully you know why you want to go into medicine, if you do, there is no reason to show it. That said, there is nothing wrong with getting a summer job in a hospital.</p>
