@ultapradesh If you’ve seen my other posts, you would quickly realize that I’m in AP Calculus AB and am seriously struggling. I would like to know what benefits there are before I quit and drop down.
Would they really let you join stats with two months left in the year?
@bodangles That’s not what I’m saying. I’m asking what is my path good for so I don’t feel like giving up and know that there’s something to work towards.
Statistics is widely used in social sciences, biological sciences, and many other fields.
Statistics courses in college that are higher level than high school AP statistics typically require a good knowledge calculus and often more advanced math.
Calculus is must if you go in STEM field. Calculus based stat is harder but used in engineering evaluations. If you want to pursue CS at a decent school, do not drop Calculus. If you want non STEM, dropping down is okay as long as you do jot want to apply elite college. Look for a teacher who can help you for free. Good luck.
