Well, it depends on the debt laws in the country the cosigners live in. That much in debt is insane and therefore very, very few banks would agree to loan it to anyone for the purpose of studying. As for the friends, they’re likely to balk - sure, OP’s the one who’ll be paying the loans, but anyone knows this is highly unlikely in reality, so th OP’s proposing to bankrupt his friends. The reasonable amount a college graduate can pay back in 10 years of work is 25-30K. The friends may agree to that amount.
