I’m going to school as CIS major because a counselor had suggested it based on what I wanted to do. Which is Computer Programming and Network Security. Just recently, this week, I realized it’s completely different than what I wanted to do. The career I had planned needs a Computer Science major not Computer Information Systems. What good is a CIS degree? I don’t know which careers it is for and how I would go about it. Sorry for the dumb question ><
CIS often translates into being an IT director for a variety of organizations, sometimes working up to being a CTO (Chief Technology Officer)
