SAT 1: 2140(over 700s)
IIC: 800, Language:780, Lit: 690, Chem:670, Bio: 640, History:570
(Im not good at taking tests)
Thanks..

yes, im retaking chem & history in the fall. I know I can at least break 650 for us, and 700 for chem. How's my GPA though, bit low for Stanford? The B's I received were from the AP classes. I took the hardest APs that offer at my school.

Man, I hate my school's weight system. Not only aren't there any honors classes, but AP classes only contribute about .02 extra to GPA. It makes me look bad compare to people from schools like yours. Blarghhh.

hi...i am really interested in applying to stanford but for the time being i am realistic enough to say that i am not planning to apply b/c of my horrible stats: 1980 SAT's...but my advisor is practically forcing me to apply b/c she knows how much i want to go this school...but honestly i know i don't have a chance unless i write some kick ass essays...but i am going to take the ACT and so far i've scored 33-34 on the practice...what are your thoughts?

crazedjunior: If your GPA is very high along with recommendations and you do take ACT, give it a shot. Nobody is guarenteed, but you can give it your best. Atleast you tried! Otherwise you will never be able to forgive yourself for not having tried. Stanford will look at your entire application carefully. Remember to write killer essays.
