What GPA do you need to be able to transfer?

I'm just a curious California community college student that's really interested in going here!

No set GPA, but just be aware Wake doesn’t accept credit from Community Colleges for a number of its programs (ie political science, physics, etc). Check their website for that info

Is there a gpa i should aim for at least?

I would say go for a gpa of 3.5 or higher. Although in some cases it may be unfair, community colleges are looked down upon compared to traditional four year institutions so you will need a high gpa.

They’re really lenient on transfer students. Considering you are coming from a community college, you need to be on the higher side. But yeah, just know they won’t accept your credits. I had to fight them to get them to credit two courses I took at Stanford.

damn. Thank you!

I imagine a big part of transferring will be how much financial aid you will need. If you are needing tons of aid, it is going to be an uphill battle. As far as grades, for your core classes I would imagine almost all A’s at a community college would be great. You are going to have a tough time at Wake if there are C’s on your transcript at at community college.

Best of luck!
