<p>what gpa would i need to transfer into columbia? I'm a freshman at duke right now taking hard courses. at the end of this semester, i'll have a 3.5 GPA. I know the saying is that gpa is only part of it etc but is 3.5 really pushing the low side?</p>

<p>Why transfer from Duke to Columbia. Just a heads up - Columbia isn't too friendly socially to transfers. No community, no dining hall, bad housing, no advising, the works. Brown is much more condusive to transfers.</p>
<p>Anyway I transferred from Columbia with a 3.4 and got into all the Ivies I applied to.</p>
