What GPA is required to get into a nursing program.

Hello I’m currently a nursing major at community college and was wondering what would be an ideal GPA to have when ready to transfer out. The schools I would really like to attend would be CSULB, SDSU, San Diego State University, SFSU, UCI, CSUF, and UCSB.

UCSB does not have a Nursing program.

Ideal GPA would be as close to 4,0 as possible. Each program should have a minimum GPA listed. For SDSU it is 3.2 to apply but most likely will not get you an acceptance.

Here is UCI’s admitted profile 2017:

Fall 2017 transfer applicants: 92
Fall 2017 transfer admissions: 15 (16% admitted)
Average cumulative GPA: 3.76
Cumulative GPA range of admissions:
3.30 – 4.00

Check each schools website for admitted nursing transfer stats.

Thank you
