What GPA is UF looking for, for accounting majors trying to transfer in with an AA?

After freshman year, I have a 3.44, but I'm going to be applying with an AA degree for the fall or summer of 2012, and I was just wondering how far off I am to at least have a realistic chance of getting accepted into UF as a transfer from another in state university.

Also, does anybody know if transfers have a better chance of getting accepted when they apply for the summer rather than the fall?

Thank you in advance

Bump. I just need a range of what UF is looking for in transfer students.

http://warrington.ufl.edu/fsoa/docs/Junior_Transfer_Standards.pdf

That document pretty much tells you the accounting school’s minimum standards, and at the top they pretty much imply that you need to exceed those minimum standards if you want to have a good chance at getting in due to their limited space

Also… transfers coming from community colleges are historically preferred over transfers from 4 year institutions, the ones from 4-year schools that get admitted typically have high GPAs from what I’ve seen.

hsb is right, basically you have the GPA to get in, you’re just the last in line.

It certainly isn’t impossible though.

Does UF have rolling admissions for transfer applicants, and how long is the wait to find out if you’ve been accepted usually?

Tanks for the help, guys!

Yes, UF has rolling admissions for transfers… as far as how soon you hear back it varies depending on the college and semester you apply for… I don’t really know how good the accounting school was this year with decisions for transfer students. It can take months though especially if you apply for fall because freshman decisions and summer take priority before fall
