What GPA puts you within the top 10% of your graduating class?

About the Highest Honors cutoff, or 4.25 Weighted.

At my school, last year’s valedictorian’s gpa was a 4.93. My school awards the magna cum laude to anyone who has an accumulative gpa of 4.0 & the summa cum laude to anyone who has an accumulative gpa of 4.4+. My school size is roughly 3,600 students.

For the last graduating class, anyone who had over a 4.14 was in the top 10%.

And anyone with a 3.88 or over was the top 20%.

I have a 4.0 weighted gpa and am second in my class with 158 kids in my class.

At my school top 10% would be the top 6 students since my graduating class hovers around 60 people. I’m number 9 in the class with like 91 to 92 and the number 1 has like a 95

Sent from my DROID3 using CC

Let’s see, my class (2015) have 740 students, top 10% would be 74 students, so you only need about a 2.50 GPA (if not lower) to be in the top 10%.

That would be the top 65, so about a. 4.5 weighted.

Top 15% is a weighted 4.0

500 in my class. Super competitive, top public high school. We send 15+ to Ivies a year (usually one everywhere but Dartmouth. Nobody applies there here.) Every year our val goes to Harvard. Then we have 5 at Princeton, 2 at Penn, 2 at Columbia, another Harvard, 3 Brown, 3 Cornell and 1 MIT (all for this class. Lol)

Thank goodness my school doesn’t report rank to colleges.

Top 10% would be like 4.3+

3.85+ UW for top 10%

Out of 5.875, top 10% is probably around 4.5 W.
(5.875 is 100s in only all AP classes, so the highest GPA can only be around 5.25.)

For us, you probably need a 4.0+ weighted. Val. has a 5.2+

Top in class for us is 4.5 W (that includes all classes, not just academic ones–so an A in every single class ever), but there are 6 people all tied for #1, out of a class of 577. So you’d probably need at least a 4.2 to break the top 10%.

For my school top 10% is 3.8 at least.

4.0 is top 25%…

4.58 is top 15.
4.65 is top 10 (okay yah, most of these people are system abusers lol, my bitterness of taking about every single AP possible compared to honors theater, art studio, and non-graded class folks)
4.83 is Val

I’m guessing 4.2 as above?

No weighted GPAs here in my school, all unweighted. You need at least, I believe, a 3.8 to be in the top 10%.

Hey guys, I was wondering how good off I am for college.
I have a 4.8 GPA weighted
4 GPA unweighted
Sat scores are 1610
Class rank is 22 out of 364

Somewhere around 3.5 I think…
