i dont wanna be rescinded! what grades should we keep up? would they really rescind if they didn't like what they saw? any stories? thanks!!!

My daughter and her friend did a research on this, last year USC rescinded 3 students total. So don't worry about senior year grades too much.

thats a huge relief! i bet those three students grade's were considerably lower than what they applied with!!!

what about if you're a scholarship recipient.
how far can you go b4 they will revoke the scholarship.
i really don't want to work the rest of the senior year. lol

Wondering too, about the scholarship.
It's stated somewhere that you've got to maintain a similar GPA in final transcript that you applied with.
But if one has a 4uw, will it be a problem to reduce that with a couple of Bs? There's no way my D is going to maintain all As in second semester.

For Presidential Scholarship, you need to maintain your USC GPA to be at least 3.0 uw and taking 16 units minimum. So it's like taking 4 courses.

I did not see this for NMS Presidential Scholarship, ie no miminum requirement. Your d has Trustee right? It might be different.

I think there's some confusion, I think Sequoia is talking about HS grades and Columbia college grades.

Yes, I do know one needs to maintain a 3.0 during college to keep the Trustee, (and I believe same applies for Pres scholarship).

But I wondered about the final HS grades.

I know but for NMS type of scholarship the gating criteria is that a student lists USC as his/her first choice. I did not see any hs grades mentioned in the financial aid letter. But it maybe different for Trustee scholarship.
