What grades/stats got you admitted to ED at WUSTLE for fall of 2019

Daughter just got denied, and I had always said it was 50/50 chance, or maybe less. I didn’t know. But here’s what I thought, and was wrong:

GPA: average GPA I thought was 4.10 or so for them, she had a 4.25
Honors and AP classes: She upward trended each year adding more per year, all A’s
Extracurricular: 4 year concert Band, Clarinet, Marching Band 3 years
Recommendations: would seem to be excellent as her teachers like her very much, told her about WUSTL
Essay: not sure, but it was reviewed by others and seemed to be fair to excellent
ACT: 30, which we knew would hurt her, but I read that most admitted are over 30…, but 30 was the bottom

Now, I know there’s a lot of students out there that have higher marks and profiles, but I kinda thought she had a better chance with Early Decision…as I do not think she would have made it on regular.

Wondering if those who got admitted or not admitted would share their stats for a better grasp of what’s needed. Or, any comments from those who have a viewpoint. Thanks
