What grading scale does your school use?

What grading scale does your school use percentage-wise? Like what percentage is an A, B, C, etc...

For my school:

A = 95 - 100
B = 87 - 94
C = 77 - 86
D = 70 - 76
F = 69 and below

I don't particularly like this scale, because it's hard to get A's. But I guess they shouldn't be easy to get.

My school does it the way its meant to be

90-100=A
80-89=B
70-79=C
60-69=D
0-59=F

Seriously?

Why must this thread be repeated once a week?

Sorry I don’t browse here as often as you. How could I possibly know that?

This.

10char

There must be at least 10 of these threads on the last 5 pages. -sigh-

But anyway

95 = A-
88 = B-
81 = C-
75 = D-
<74 = F

Let me help you out there a bit buddy,

I’ve never seen one of these threads before. Don’t hate.

I’ve never seen those. But anyways…

Mine is the 10 point… the way it ‘should’ be. (I prefer 49.9999 and below as failing, and 50+ passing… but I’ve never seen that.)

The funny thing is that musicallylatin’s list is missing a lot of the threads about grading scales. I can think of at least two in the last month specifically.

All depends on the teacher

^Really? That’s fairly lucky. Or unlucky. And very un-uniformed.

B IS 87 TO 94?

In our school 85.5 is an A!!
This is in BC Canada

^ Lucky.

I actually found it wayyyy easier to make an A when I was at the school that had the 7 point grading system (A was 93-100), than I do the school with the 10 point grading system.

So maybe your school is really tough?

Yes, but I was more or less trying to make the point that there’s this lovely thing called the search engine, and although it’s crappy, it’ll do the job.

Actually our school isn’t really tough.
The entire province is like this!

Wow. And ya no A+ A- stuff either.
85.5 is an A!
72.5 is a B!
That seems ridiculously easy compared to you guys.

To post 12

When I say it all depends on teacher, usually when the teacher twitches with the grading scale, they make it more rigioius/ difficult to get the grade. Never have I’ve seen a teacher lower the grading scale.
Examples: For some teachers to get an A it’ll take a 91, 93, or 95. For some teachers to get an A, if your like 89.7 they will round it to a 90 and give an A.
