<p>I understand that calculators are not allowed on tests for the lower division classes, but is that the case for upper division too? I plan on majoring in math so I want to get used to a calculator that will help me in those classes. I've been eyeing the Ti-Nspire CX CAS for a while but I've heard most college professors don't allow it same with the TI 89 Titanium.</p>
<p>I have no experience with upper division math classes, but none of my physical science or engineering classes placed any restrictions on calculators. Most students used either the TI-89, the TI-83/84, or a non-graphing calculator.</p>
<p>Calculators WILL NOT be allowed in Math 1A-1B, 53, or 54 Guaranteed. </p>
