The first sat you take has a higher score than the second one you take
How would college reflect on this decrease in score.

Not well. (10)

Depends on how much... If it's only a few points then it's probably not a big deal. If it's several hundred points then it may make the first score look like a fluke.

why not just not send your scores to colleges until you get them, then if they suck, colleges won't know about them, right??????

^well if you send one score, all your other scores will follow so you dont really have a choice.

exactly...

so just don't send any until you're through with the test.

Alot of people do go down upon taking the test a second time, which really does suck. I'd take it again and be done after that.

what happens if u do exactly the opposite and raise ur score more than a hundred points on the second try?

then praise the lord and start dancing-
also the when you send your scores, all sat scores are on record.

yea, and there is no way of deleting a score like the ACT thankfully does

From my understanding, colleges actually don't care that much. They'll figure, maybe they had a bad day that day? Maybe something was going on? They aren't going to make assumptions.

Most colleges, including the big-reach ivy ones, just look at your highest scores on each individual test you've taken: math, writing, verbal, and subject tests.
