Question is in the title, I was taken off the waitlist after the Spring Spotlight so I completely missed it.

I missed it too, subbed for info

My son was accepted off from the waitlist as well, and wishing that he attended the Spring Spotlight even though he wasn’t in at that time. He visited the campus before during the Preveiw Day (last October), but it was so long ago and different.

We too really appreciate it if someone give us some input!

If you go to the UCSC website you can find a schedule for the virtual Spring Spotlight that was an online session held last week. The itinerary will show you the topics they covered. There are also links to webcasts you can view. I’m not sure if the 2013 Spotlight is on there, but I think there is some video of the 2012 event.

It’s basically a regular tour, honestly. I did it when I got accepted and the only real difference between Spring Spotlight and a regular campus tour (which I had done before) was that they showed us one of the dorm rooms.
It’s really just to give people information about the university if they are still undecided. If you are already set on going, then there is really no need to worry about it.

Thanks! That’s good to know.

yeah when i went to the spring spotlight tour beginning of April, it was just a tour of the campus. Current upper class students, in my case a junior, take small groups of parents and students throughout the campus, showing the different buildings and departments. then they show you a college and the dorms, in my case Cowell College.

like rectangleshorts said, if your set on going, then you really didnt miss anything, although it would be handy to get a copy of the bus schedules.

have fun at ucsc!
