<p>One thing that has me wondering is the Gibson Portal. If I were an admissions person I would be all over that website. Think about it, you give every applicant a user ID and password, and then you sit back and watch who uses it. </p>
<p>It would be so simple to get a list of 1. the number of times an applicant has logged on, and 2. how much time they spent on the website reading and learning about Tulane. Talk about a solid indicator of whether or not an applicant is seriously interested in the school. If you’re logging in 6 times a day to see if you have a decision, that’s a pretty good clue that you want to go to Tulane.</p>
<p>Most colleges have these types of websites, but I’ve never heard that any Admission Office does anything with that data. I think they’re missing an opportunity if they’re not using it.</p>
