What happens if app payments are cancelled after everything is submitted on time?

So I submitted all my materials (common app, supplement, fee payments) on time, but due to, err, less than ideal circumstances that I don't want to get too much into, it's possible that the payments my parents made are going to bounce. They were paid with credit cards - sent SAT scores and payments through common app. My family income isn't low enough for me to have gotten any fee waivers.

It's not that I haven't had about 50 conversations with them about paying for these fees. I'm just not sure what to do now. If the payment is rejected, will the admissions departments understand if I call to pay again, after the deadline?

Did you get a confirmation on the the payment?

The colleges will understand. It’s profitable for them to accept your payment.

It happens – overdrawn checking accounts, maxed out credit cards, etc. It’s of no benefit to the colleges to not work with you. They’ll look to find a remedy with you. You’ll be fine. Good luck.
