what happens if i dont get any of my classes?

Unfortunately for me, I got one of the latest registration date. I'm worried I won't be able to get into a math or chem class and this will set me behind a whole quarter.

Does this ever happen? I want to get into math 10A and chem 6A. But a lot of people want these classes, right? What am I supposed to do if they are filled? Just take a bunch of other required courses for my college and hope next quarter I get in?

ALSo, another question, I was reading Revelles admission thingy and found out if I had applied for that college I would've automatically gotten into the honors program. Does this mean I would have gotten the regents scholarship thing too? because I didn't know about the automatic honors thing when i applied and im just wondering if i totally missed out.

The Honors award is based on HS GPA and SAT scores. The regents scholarship is based on GPA along with essays and extra curricular activities. All regents scholars will receive money and early placement into classes whereas the Honors program will give you early placement but no money.

thanks for answering, it made me feel a lot better because i was starting to regret not applying there

Yeah, take other stuff for your college if you can't get into those.

counselors can work their magic - make sure you start in at least one of math or chem; no reason to be that behind.

so if i was unable to get in a required class like math or chem would I just email the counselors as soon as I was done registering for classes? or call them while I was registering? or wait until I got to UCSD in september and then try to fix it in person?

sorry im just kind of freaking out about whats going to happen if i cant get into these classes

hint: waiting till september just means another freshman can snag your spot in the meantime. if it's bugging you, why don't you just act on it?

well my registration date is August 28, so i still haven't signed up
