I'm taking the SAT II Math 2 in June and I'm worried about not being able to study well enough by the test date. If I don't show up, does it count for anything? Are there any repercussions besides losing the money (which is negligible)?

Say I don't go, will I be able to register for the October exam for a reduced cost (change fee?) rather than essentially re-registering with $23+12?

Nahh I don’t think there’s any downside besides losing the money. And no i thik you’ll have to pay the full fee again…

My daughter registered for an SAT 2 and then didn’t take it.

You lose the money. That’s it. But no, you don’t get credit toward a future test. Which is not unfair, really. They were ready for you to show up. They did their part.

I registered for the SAT I in December and didn’t show up and collegeboard just sent me an email letting me know that I could reschedule my test for a later date with the $23+$12 fee. I don’t know if it’s the same for the subject tests though.

I spoke with CB. You can apply your reg fee for sat2 or sat1 to future tests within 1 year. You have to pay a change fee so the cost is almost the same (but slightly less) as registering for a new test.

Really?

Too bad I didn’t know that three years ago. I could’ve saved…well, a little bit, I guess.
