What happens if I get a C in a course?

I might be getting a C in Comp Science, will I get kicked out of Stern?

Of course not

Are you sure? Do they look at final grades?

your fine, honestly people are way too uptight.

Yeah, I'm going to chime in with Andy here. One C isn't going to sink your Stern admissions.

ive gotten 6 C's. and i got in. no worries =]

Im getting grades in AP classes in the 70s, grades in regular classes in the 80s. My average is the lowest ever. Dont worry about it, once your in, your in.

AHHHH
When I received my "All-A" 3rd quarter report card, I thought senioritis was someone else's story.

However, right now: B in Government, C in English, C in Intro to Finance, AHHHHHHHHH

One C won't kill you, but you don't want "dramatic changes" from when you got accepted. It's rare that offers are rescinded but it does happen. It also happens that kids are put on probation and you don't want to start your college years that way.

Probation? What is the meaing of this?

Let's hear some more about this... I'm usually a B~A- student. IF... IF I happen to get 3 Cs, what will happen?

Probably nothing, maybe academic probation, where they will just watch you to ensure your grades don't continue to falter at NYU

Say hello community college

noooo....one C wont do anything. i had a 70 in Ap English and a 70 in Latin but i still remained at NYU, no probation or anything. in fact, i called them and i told them about it and they said that as long as you dont fail you're fine. they are not trying to make a hard time for you, just do your usual. and if it's not your usual in one class, it's okay. you'll encounter the same thing in college prolly, cos one class will always/maybe always screw you over, so they understsand and wont make a fuss over one C. just make sure its not a D or worse an F.

At my school a 70 IS considered a D, what was a D at your school?

I'll have As (90-100) in Photography and Marketing, Bs (80-89) in AP English and Honors World History, but I'm probably going to have either a C (75-79) or very possibly even a D (70-74) in AP US Government (everyone had a really hard time in that class). I already had one D on my transcript (no Cs, lots of Bs) when I was accepted to NYU so I'm not too worried (I'd have to have gotten less than like a 23/100 on the final to get less than a 70 semester average in government) but I'm still a little nervous just cuz everyone else is!

breathfire, you're my hero; your post is very assuring. ^-^

But by "70 in Ap English and a 70 in Latin," do you mean literally two 70s? Or two scores ranging in the C section? (70~79)
