What happens if I only get .5 credits of chemistry?

I’m a freshman in high school, and was planning on taking AP Chemistry next year. However, I found out today that not enough people signed up for the class at my school, so it will not be a class.
The problem is, I signed up for a chemistry class over the summer norrmally taken in my school so I could advance to AP Chem. It only counts as .5 Credits when I take it over the summer at the community college, even though at my school it counts as a full credit (my school takes a semester college class and teaches it over a year for DE).
My question is, what happens if I never get my other .5 credits if AP isn’t offered?
It usually isn’t offered at my school, so I’m worried I won’t get to take it. I still will complete a full year’s worth of chem, but it will only count as .5 credits. Will this affect me for colleges which require a full year of bio, chem, and physics?

Did you already take regular chemistry? If not, take that one next year instead of the summer course.

The summer course I am taking is Honors Chem. I want to take it because I actually enjoy Chemistry and so I won’t have to take two very hard science courses in one year. I still want to take the class and I can always take General Chemistry(Basically AP Chem) at the CC later in high school, this just isn’t a preferred option.

A one-semester college course is typically equivalent to a one-year hs course. You should be fine.

Ok thanks.
