what happens if i signed up for 3 SATIIs but decide to take less

Can i do this and forget the $8 i spent?

Yes you can.

what if you signed up for math & physics, but decides to take math & chem instead?

That's fine as well. You get a big booklet with every subject test in it at the start of the test, and you just choose the ones you want to take regardless of what you registered for.

I thought if you left a section totally blank that you were supposed to test during they considered it a cancellation of your scores?

You just dont take the exam and leave early...
They only cancel your score if you enter the Test code.. which u wont..

many ppl at my school sign up for exam but refuse to take it...

if its a math test, you can always lie that your calculator broke down if you did bad.... they will cancel just the math.. :)

When I signed up for the SATII the website said that you can change your subjects, increase the number of tests. However, I don't recall seeing anything about taking less. The website said ask the procter to lead you through the process.

I signed up for Math II and USH, but plan to take World Hist too.

so......if registered for 3 tests.....and decide to take only two..........on my score report...........will it show as i took two tests or i got a 200 on the one i skipped?????????????/

it doesnt say anything..
it deletes it from your profile

just to make sure, did you do this?
or should i email the collegeboard to make sure

Fae, no need to email CB. All the posts here are accurate. You choose the tests you want to take (except the language with listening tests) when you arrive. If you take fewer than you signed up for, you lose your $. If you take more than you signed up for, the CB sends you a bill. If you switch tests, no problem.

All of the above is true, and I can verify as I HAVE DONE IT

same here. it's fine to do that.

My kid did this...signed up for 3, got exhausted after taking 3 AP exams and 2 other tests that week, so turned in her book after taking 2 and only those 2 were scored.

so what if you want to take three, but after looking at one of the three (in the middle of taking it) can you decide to not let that test count? (i know if you go thru all the way through w/ the 3 and want to cancel, you have to cancel all 3) So lets say i've taken math II and physics, and want to see how hard chem is. So i'm in the middle of chem, but think it's waaay too hard; then can I decide that the chem test won't count?
thanks!

I think that if you erase all your answers, it cancels.

wow. So if you think you did bad on a SAT II. You just ERAS everything with 5 minutes left, and theoretically , they wouldnt even score it.

so i only signed up for 2 but i actually want to take 3, i can just take three without paying an extra fee or something?

Damitssam, I think that if you erase one of the sections completely, they will cancel all your SAT II scores (nothing will be graded).

Zetsui, if you want to take a third test, go ahead and take it. You will get a bill in the mail for the extra test ($8?)

I guess you could, allow it is somehwat cheating, use the caluclator break down trick to get out of a math test, but other than that canceling one SATII cancels them all for that day. Erasing everything before time runs out might work, but I don't know if the proctor makes a note or something of who stayed for extra tests. I've never taken more than one in a day.
