What happens if not enough people sign up for a class?

I'm talking about Chinese 10AX. I checked the schedule and out of the 6 classes only a has any students enrolled in it, and it's the 8 am class. I was just wondering if I sign up for one of the later classes and not enough people sign up for it would I get transferred to the 8 am class?

Phase 2 is just starting, lots of time left to gain registrants.

I’m not an expert on this, but I heard that enrollment in language classes is different from regular classes. Something like it doesn’t matter as long as you get the professors approval so no need to waste your phase 1 since the prof blocks and you have to get the CCN or something like that.

Well my phase II is next Monday so I was actually wondering if I should just sign up for the class time I want regardless of how many people are in it?

Are you asking about waitlisting for a desired time instead of registering in a different section that is open? It will probably be easier to try to swap times if you are a confirmed student in some section rather than sitting on a waitlist.

If you are asking whether it is unsafe to sign up for a section that currently has zero or a very small number registered, it is just too early to know.
