but seriously, to be honest Davis is really anal about drinking underage haha. So don’t get caught & play it safe. hope some upperclassmen can help you out on these

They have a very elaborate system for 1st/2nd/3rd time offenders and change the result based on your particular circumstances. First a conduct coordinator will get your case and may or may not set up an RHAB meeting. Depending on the circumstances, you could either have your name put on file with SJA, get a formal warning, be forced to attend an alcohol class, be referred directly to SJA, kicked out of the dorms etc… or any combination.

Basically, don’t do it and if you’re in the presence of someone else who is, either leave or make them pour it out, because you’re responsible for them too.

As far as pot, it can get even worse. If you get caught you’re getting arrested and going to go through a lot more crap than with underage drinking. However, another member on here said that even though the police were at his dorm door pounding since they traced it to him, they couldn’t exactly identify him since he never opened the door; he didn’t get arrested.

Still, I’d say play it safe. I don’t know how long he stayed barricaded in his room before the police left.

@calimami: Usually you can figure out what kind of person your roomie is before the room transfer time ends. I think one of the first things my roomie and I talked about was the fact that neither of us drink, let alone do pot.

@theReach: Haha, well from what I heard there was a lot of it that was so obvious even the intentionally oblivious RAs had to respond to, so maybe not lol

I smoke weed and would like to in my dorm, but I don’t want to sign up for a smoking dorm only to find out my roommate smokes 2 packs a day. Is there any way around this? And don’t pass your moral judgement on pot onto me either

unless you’re in a suite i wouldn’t try smoking in the dorms. go to cuarto park, that way you’ll meet other stoners. it’s a 7 minute walk from segundo north.

if you’re not in a suite?
very.
especially if you only smoke once in a while. just make the walk. i smoked every day freshman year and i made the walk nearly every day (went to my friends’ room the rest of the time - i don’t advise this unless it’s in a remote corner of the building, and even then, just go outside, getting caught is not worth it)

probably because there’s chances you might get caught & the punishments are more severe than if you were to be caught drinking. cuarto suites are where things are more lenient because its off campus.

hallway - door - room. they WILL smell you.
cuarto’s hallways are open air, plus it’s hallway - door - common room - door - room. it’s not any more lenient at cuarto. the main difference is that there is much more distance between your front door and your bedroom. smoke smells!!! if you get caught in ANY dorm you will get in trouble.

false, never got caught for anything all year in tercero.

Smoking - put a towel under the door, buy a fan to blow into facing out the window, febreeze around the door/at the vents. If you’re really afraid make one of those toilet paper roll/fabric softner doodads. Joints i would go outside, but everything else isn’t too bad.

Drinking - just pregame in your dorms, they can’t do anything unless its after quiet hours or if you leave your door open, most of the beds if you take off the mattress you can even use as beerpong tables = pretty legit

used a towel, fan, and sploof, and still got caught(well, smell got out. didn’t get caught). your room has to be in a really convenient spot to be able to get away with it.
and in tercero you have the bench, it’s like the perfect smoking spot and it’s even closer to the dorms than cuarto park is to cuarto.
and yeah i was barely in my room so my roommate would use my bed as a BP table. hahah
