What happens if you get a D in a breadth class?

Anything u can do?? I don't know HOW it happened. Is there anyway to change to p/np or something? or can u like drop one class by the end of ur graduation or sumthin?

Unfortunately no. If you could just change bad grades to P/NP after the deadline, it kind of destroys the point. =/. What happened?

you need to start shaping up clueless (or whatever screen name you go by), bad grades are bad grades…no matter if they come from UC Berkeley or the City College of San Fransisco.

The grades on BearFacts are final, you can’t change them now. You won’t be able to do anything about them b/c they’re permanent (from now until you die).

I think you have to start first by being honest with yourself. You said that you don’t know how it happened? Uh… I really doubt that. Learn from this experience and start fresh next semester.

What class was it? Were you expecting a low grade? Maybe you mis-bubbled your scantron sheet on the final.

lol thanks i needed that 123. Idk what happened. I thought for sure I would get a B if not better. I have better classes this semester so i know my grades will shoot up and i’m gonna work a lot harder but this freakin sucks. Like what the hell. now i for sure can’t go to a professional school. : [

^^not true…I know plenty of people (4) who were sub 3.0 their freshmen year and went on to med, law, and grad schools (not great one’s but they got in)

how did you fail a breadth course?

really? Okay that gives me hope. I definitely changed the way i think now. I’m going to be like in the slc study groups or studying a ton more and like never go out haha

And no haha it wasn’t scantron. so that’s not a possibility.

btw, do u know where they went 123?

Even if your grade can’t be changed, you should probably talk to your GSI and/or professor so you can find out what you did wrong, and why your expectations for your grade were so misaligned with reality. It might help you in the future.

Yeah I did that. We’re working on it.

Which class was it? o___O

Also, take easier breadths…

I can’t say on here…I’ll tell you in a week. PM me in a week. It was like the only breadth left and i didn’t want to do a waste of time class cause nothing else was open. I thought I could be done with it. God. what a nightmare.

I’m pretty sure bad grades follow you into the afterlife.

^ Absolutely. Getting bad grades is a life-lasting sin.

But seriously, how about you shake it off now?

Be a little more strategic with your classes. I would have rather take a class that doesn’t count for anything if it meant I were going to get an A. I mean, who is really going to want to take (example) 4 technicals in a semester because they couldn’t get into a humanities.

Use courserank, ratemyprofessor, etc. There are ways to avoid this. If all else fails, P/NP is your friend. Breadths shouldn’t hurt your Cumulative GPA.

Yeah. I guess. I just thought it wouldn’t happen so I never thought about P/NP especially for THIS class. The teacher emphasized so much how he would love to give everyone A’s, so I thought they bump grades up like they do in physics. No one fails or gets a D in physics. The lowest you can get is a C-. Oh well. I guess all I can do is make all of my other grades A’s and B’s to make up for it.

Should I repeat this class? So that the D will not count towards my gpa or should I take another one? It’s not a major class so not sure. thanks

repeat the class, stop making me think about school, repeat the class, stop making me think about school, repeat the class, stop making me think about school, repeat the class, stop making me think about school, repeat the class, stop making me think about school, repeat the class, stop making me think about school, repeat the class, stop making me think about school, repeat the class, stop making me think about school, repeat the class, stop making me think about school, repeat the class, stop making me think about school, repeat the class, stop making me think about school, repeat the class, stop making me think about school, repeat the class, stop making me think about school, repeat the class, stop making me think about school, repeat the class, stop making me think about school

you know a great way to avoid these kind of situations is: to get good grades

123456789bc did and his p-nas has never felt better!

Clueless, also you really need to get the **** off this forum from time to time. During this past semester, there were times that you nearly averaged 8 posts per day. You need to stay off CC as much as possible, because it seems to me you wasting too ****ing time here instead of studying.
