What happens if your school changes grading system?

<p>Hi, I am currently senior and going to IB school.</p>

<p>Until last year, we calculated GPA in percentage so out of 100%.</p>

<p>So my transcript that gets sent to colleges are in 100% scale. (grade through 9-11th)</p>

<p>But the thing is, we changed the system for 1-7 IB scale. And My first semester senior grade will be in that new scale. </p>

<p>Since our semester ends at January, colleges will receive the additional senior grade in this new scale later. (for additional midterm)</p>

<p>Will colleges look at the new scaled grade and be confused? Since it is not consistent...</p>

<p>don’t you think your school will send out an explanation? Or are the next three years of students just bound not to be let into any colleges?</p>
