What happens to the classes that don't transfer over?

Was thinking earlier, when you transfer schools and they don’t accept certain credits/ if you change your major and don’t need certain classes you have taken, how they effect your gpa down the road when you graduate?

Your GPA normally begins with courses taken at the new university. It will include all courses taken at that university.

@TomSrOfBoston is correct. Transfer credits typically come in as a Pass and are not included in your GPA. Courses that don’t transfer will likely not show up on your new school’s transcript. However grad school applications and a small number of employers will want to get transcripts from every school you attended.

If you change your major after your courses have been evaluated and credits transferred, if you have coursework the didn’t transfer but would apply to the new major, you should ask to have that reevaluated. Sometimes it is possible to swap out a course or two.

Thank you sounds great.
