ok so im a freshman, first quarter, and i was placed on wait list for two of my classes, one of them i got into the other im still waiting for but there doesnt seem to be hope, i dont have a backup class, and plus ive already missed liek two weeks' worth lecture, so now i dotn know what to do...i only have 9 units without the third class, can i just not take a third class, will it affect fin aid? i dotn know what to do, please let me know what u guys think! thanks.

i think theres a minimum number of units you have to take. dont know what it is, but i know its more than 9....

The minimum is 13 units and you need to have 27 units by the end of Winter Quarter. It's part of the expected progress thing...

run, don't walk, to see an advisor. If you don't know where to go then start with your RA who can point you to the right place.

I've only got 12 and it's not a problem... However I'm also ahead of where I need to be as far as the expected progress goes.

i think my OC said they check like every even quarter. so next quarter make sure you have like 17+ units or something.

I find it hard to believe that you're a freshman and don't have another class you could take this quarter. Find an easy GE you need, and enroll right now! Go see a counselor ASAP to see what you can do.

well heres my deal, ive taken classes at a community college during high school, i have like 28.5 units transferred over, i need classes in the social analysis, historical analysis, and literary analysis groups, but whatever i take, im already a few weeks behind, and there arent classes that are open their either waitlist or closed, but i guess ill just enroll cuz i have no other choice right now

Yeah you need to go see a counslor now. The longer you wait the harder it's going to be to do anything.
