I am halfway done with a high school french class that is a semester long. I’m debating dropping it and am curious to know what will happen in the eyes of a college and if it will show up on my transcript? Thank you. The teacher is not a very good one, she doesn’t know what she is teaching, and I’d rather take it through my local college.
You’ll need to contact the colleges to which you’ve applied and talk to them about it. Any admission decisions are based on your transcript and their expectations of what you are doing for your last semester. If you do just transfer to the local college to finish it there shouldn’t be an issue (though you may find it’s more difficult than what you were doing in HS - a year of HS language is generally considered a semester in college).
