What Happens When You Get Rejected?

Is there an appeals process? What do you need to do? What if you dont even get on the waiting list to a school? Is there anything i can do?

If you're rejected it's pretty much a done deal since there will probably be a substantial amount of kids in the waitlist pool who they apparently prefer. But if you're sincerely passionate, it surely doesn't hurt to contact them and kindly ask what had prevented you admissions. If you're on the waitlist, you definitely have a chance. Granted, a small percent of waitlisted kids will get in, but here's where you should setup a campaign to show how interested you are. I remember I had one friend who was waitlisted at a top LAC, and after having many people of high standing in my school (principal, VP, guidance counselor, high-standing friends) contact the admissions office to assure them of her character as well as a persistent phone calls (without becoming overbearing) she eventually got extended an acceptance. So if you work hard enough you could get in.
