My son has a nice SAT score for the schools to which he is applying, 1990 but took the SAT 2's in the height of a crisis and scored horribly, 600 math 490 american history. Four of the schools he is applying to, demand them so now he has no choice but to send them, how much do you think this will affect him? Lets say school A was going to admit him then they see these bad scores for his SAT 2's, how much effect will this have? Thank you!

We have a similar situation in our house (2060/560/610/580) but aside from the UC’s not that many of my DD’s choices seem to “demand” them.

What Happens When You Have Decent Sat But Horrible Sat 2’s?

I guess will find out!

It factors in more significantly if you’re majoring in an area related to your subject tests..

A 600 is not bad - it really depends on where you’re applying.

sat scores is not the only factor as you know… i don’t think bad scores help, but not necessarily reject a qualified candidate.
