what happens when..

basically long story short theres no possible way for me to pass my math class i fooled around to much and the last time i took math was sophmore year. im in 060 and im signed up for 105 next semester. what will happen next semester? will i stay in the 105 class or is it going to kick me out and so should i just set up a 060 class for next semester? its not that i dont understand it its that i hate doing math homework every night plus online crap.

If the class youre going to fail isnt a prereq, you can take 105. If it is, you cannot. I would consider whether or not it would be wiser to just retake 060 first-- sometimes if you pass a higher class you cant go back anymore and retake, and you lose your chance to fix your gpa.

hmm so probably just take it again to get rid of the f.

Check your schools policy to make sure it works that way, but when faced with the same situation that’s what I did. Just retaking that class raised my gpa from a 3.0 to a 3.5.

You’ll have to retake it regardless, if you have a math gen ed requirement. But just pray that your school has a policy that if you retake a class, the second grade replaces the first. It doesn’t work that way at my school.
