<p>Hi everyone!</p>

<p>I know that I may get shot down for bring this up BEFORE March 10 but...</p>

<p>What happens if you do get accepted? Do they say - 'You have 14 days to pay a deposit'? Do they send information about the school? I have ABSOLUTELY no experience with applying to schools - let alone ones over the other side of the world! </p>

<p>I am asking this in part because I have made a decision not to check any other forms of communication which may be used by schools to tell me my decision - snail mail it is. Being in Australia that may take a while... if I get my letter on the 20th of March - will that make any difference? </p>

<p>Last year the schools wanted a signed contract and deposit in hand by April 10th. Good luck!</p>

<p>and some schools are very firm on the deadline...on my revisit day at hotchkiss a couple years ago, Bill Leahy(the admissions director) said they grant NO EXTENSIONS, would NOT ACCEPT ANY LATE DEPOSITS</p>

<p>If you are appyling to schools in the USA, then rather than wait for snail mail, why don't you check your email or online postings. That way you will know if you are accepted LONG before the packet arrives in the mail.
