I just visited the site after several months. Maybe I’m missing something obvious, but it seems “user UNfriendly” now. When I enter the name of a school, its profile does not come up and I can’t find it anywhere. It also used to be easy to find the feature that allows you to do side by side comparisons. That’s been buried or removed.
I found Boardingschoolreview.com is still there but the one that allowed comparison (Best I can remember) was “Find the Best” which is now http://boarding-schools.startclass.com. I see the information on the Start Class site is a bit outdated (a few years)…
I think that site must be struggling with budget or something. It’s an important resource and my family used it but I just looked at it and I see what you mean. Weird.
I just tried it and the school profiles come right up. They are laid out differently, but everything’s there pretty front and center. Nothing missing. It looks like the site was rejiggered to be mobile friendly.
Just checked myself and it’s working normally again. For several days it was not returning any information about the schools; perhaps they were updating the site. Still don’t see an easy link to compare schools side-by-side, but I’ll try again.
I guess I missed the transition. I don’t actually recall that comparison ability on bsr (possibly because I wasn’t using it for that)… I remember looking at comparisons on prepreview.com — and I recall their statistics were not as up-to-date as bsr. But they at least gave the basics.
