As in, I'm signed up for the test, and to me, it's just knowing the terms, knowing how to apply the terms, being familiar with a bunch of books, and writing essays.

Is there anything different that you do in class?

Is there anything different that you do in class?

That's basically it, a few times essays here and there and tests on books we have to read.

AP english lit is a class?
that's weird, isn't the test just like writing essays and stuff?
i'm signed up for it... =/

^^its so much more than you think. its not just some essays. you need to know famous books almost by heart and be able to apply them to the prompt with abundant support. i have come across many who think the ap lit exam is not that big a deal. look at the grade distribution:

5 - Extremely Well Qualified 7.1 **
4 - Well Qualified *20.8 *
3 - Qualified *34.3 *
2 - Possibly Qualified *29.8 *
1 - No Recommendation8.1**

i am sure you guys are hoping for a 5 since this is CC. i am currently taking AP Eng Lit and the practice tests and the weekly prompts from past tests are extremely challenging. the MC section of the test is very hard. this test is no joke. gl.

Is there anything to do to really prepare for this exam? I'm not good at the Literature SAT, so I'm getting scared; I'm not good at the Critical Reading section either.

The only books I've read are in IB english class...I hope only knowing three books is going to be sufficient. Good thing our english teach choose generic books that can be applied to any situation such as "Hedda Gabler" and "Blood Wedding".

I'm going to do this test aiming for a 5 but I'll probably end up with a 4. The only good thing about English Lit, if your not doing any literary-based degrees in uni. is that you won't have to take any boring Shakespeare classes.

I have never heard of those two books. Who are they by? Some other good generic books for Eng Lit (and SAT Essay writing examples) are The Grapes of Wrath and To Kill a Mockingbird (also Jane Eyre, too; I'm only half way through but it seems to have a lot of themes).

Hedda Gabler and Blood Wedding are both plays.

Hedda Gabler is written by Henrik Ibsen and Blood Wedding by Frederico Lorca.
